Senior Process Safety Engineer

The role: Own the holistic implementation of process safety across our system The role encompasses the full development cycle, across our whole system, but can be tailored to the specialist skillset of the applicant. We need you to: Guide process safety through intelligent, inherently safe system architecture selectionIdeate novel designs to eliminate or mitigate existing failure modesOwn critical process safety design aspects, such as relief design and DSEAR complianceLead our system through critical safety reviews, such as HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA and SIF specification Essential skills: 5+ years of professional experienceBachelor’s or Master's in chemical engineering or related fieldExperience designing, building and operating process plantsExperience leading full lifecycle process safety You should be strong across all traditional process engineering activities: Ideating novel architectures and system integrations with the Rivan mindsetAspen modelling of process unitsData analysis and system-wide process optimisationDetailed process calculations and designDefining control architecturesComponent specification and procurementDefining and executing the build, deployment, commissioning and operation of our systems Specifics: £70-100k Salary depending on experienceSignificant share options as part of the early teamIn-person work at our HQ in Bermondsey, South London – flexibility considered based on personal circumstancesExtensive relocation support, including £6000 per year extra to live close to our HQVisa sponsorship availableHealth insuranceUnlimited time off We encourage exceptional applicants from all backgrounds to apply for this role, even if they do not meet all the requirements listed.
