Software Lead and Integration Manager

Responsibilities As a software integrator, you know that good software is more than just a nice-looking interface and data. You need the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user-focused solution. We’re looking for an engineer like you to lead a U.S. Space Force team of physicists, systems engineers, and software developers as they develop efficient and effective software to support both U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy end users. In this role, you will lead a cross-functional team responsible for evaluating physics-based concepts, designing and testing software, and implementing end-to-end solutions. You will leverage experience with radio frequency (RF) and space weather concepts and translate scientific needs into scalable, mission-driven software solutions. This role requires hands-on ability to read, program, and review code across the stack, while also providing strategic direction and mentorship to engineering and science personnel. You will collaborate across disciplines, communicate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders, and drive alignment between scientific objectives and software development efforts. Success in this role requires a balance of technical depth, leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, mission-focused environment. Qualifications Must possess and have the ability to maintain an active TS/SCI.Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 10 - 12 years of experience or a Master's with 8 - 10 years of experience, or 5 to 7 years of expereince with PhD. At least 4 years in a supervisory capacity.Experience with scientific concepts related to radio frequency (RF), the electromagnetic spectrum, or space weatherExperience with full-stack developmentExperience interacting with technical and non-technical audiences at varying levels Experience leading highly technical teamsAbility to read and program in Python, JavaScript, or C/C++, and in frameworks such as React, Angular, REST, or GraphQLAbility to coordinate and drive outcomes across various cross-functional teams such as science, software, hardware, and systems engineering Nice If You Have Experience with radar systems or radar modeling and signal processingExperience working with Kubernetes or software factoriesExperience with requirements analysisAbility to run and evaluate complex simulation frameworksPossession of excellent verbal and written communication skillsMaster’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering preferred; Doctorate degree in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering a plusAbility to obtain a Security+ Certification within 2 months of hire date Equal Pay Act This is the projected compensation range for this position.
