Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and experienced Salesforce Developer to join our technology team. In this role, you will be the technical engine behind our Salesforce ecosystem, responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable solutions that drive our business forward. You will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution, ensuring our Salesforce architecture is robust, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for building seamless integrations and elegant Lightning components, we want you on our team. location: Needham, Massachusetts job type: Contract salary: $75 - 85 per hour work hours: 9am to 5pm education: Bachelors Responsibilities Custom Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy customized solutions within the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning (LWC and Aura). System Integration: Lead the design and execution of secure, scalable integrations between Salesforce and other critical third-party enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, marketing automation, customer service platforms). Architecture & Best Practices: Act as a platform guardian by understanding, implementing, and enforcing Salesforce.com best practices. Oversee general architecture, setup, and configuration to ensure long-term platform health and minimal technical debt. Technical Problem Solving: Analyze complex business challenges and translate them into logical, impactful, and scalable technical solutions. Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a core technical liaison. You will be responsible for clearly and effectively communicating complex technical problems and solutions to both technical peers and non-technical business leaders. Platform Optimization: Continuously monitor platform performance, troubleshoot Apex/integration errors, and refactor legacy code to utilize modern Lightning frameworks and efficient SOQL queries. Qualifications Salesforce Expertise: Proven professional experience as a Salesforce Developer, with a deep understanding of the platform's core capabilities, limits, and developer experience (DX). Advanced Programming Skills: Hands-on, extensive experience writing and managing custom code, including: Apex (Classes, Triggers, Batch processing) Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura-based Components Lightning Pages and Visualforce pages Apex REST APIs and custom endpoints Advanced SOQL and SOSL querying Integration Mastery: Significant, hands-on experience building complex integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, Web Services, OAuth) and working with middleware tools. Architectural Knowledge: Deep understanding of Salesforce functionality, setup, configuration, data modeling, and security models (Roles, Profiles, Sharing Rules). Exceptional Communicator: Strong ability to distill complex technical concepts into simple, logical, and impactful explanations for cross-functional stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications (Optional But Highly Valued) Active Salesforce Certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I & II, Integration Architecture Designer, or Application Architect). Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment. Familiarity with DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (e.g., Git, Copado, Gearset) in a Salesforce context.
