About The Role Peraton is hiring an experienced Computer Applications Developer for its' Regional Cyber Center-Europe Location: On-site, Wiesbaden, Germany Potential 2nd/3rd Shift Work Required Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement software applications that support cyber network defense operations, including tools for alert management, data aggregation, and analyst workflow automationWrite, test, and debug production-quality code in Python and/or Java, following secure coding standards and DoD software development guidelinesBuild and maintain data analysis tools and dashboards that enable CSSP analysts to visualize security metrics, track KPIs, and identify operational trendsEvaluate commercial and open-source software solutions for applicability to CSSP mission requirements, producing technical assessments and integration recommendationsMaintain comprehensive application documentation including design specifications, user guides, API references, and change logs in support of configuration management requirementsCollaborate with CSSP operations, engineering, and data science teams to gather requirements, iterate on application features, and deliver mission-aligned software solutions #RCC-E Qualifications Required: 5 years of software development experience with a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or Business Administration; 11 years of relevant experience may substitute for degreeMust meet TESA QualificationsDoD 8140 - Cybersecurity (Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support) - IntermediateCertifications - must hold active certifications (one of the following):GPYC (GIAC Python Coder); ORGWEB (GIAC Certified Web Application Defender); ORRed Hat Certified Enterprise Application Developer; ORMicrosoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate; ORGitLab Certified CI/CD Associate; ORAzure DevOps Engineer ExpertU.S. citizenship requiredActive DoD TS/SCI clearance or higherPreferred: Strong proficiency in Python for backend development, scripting, and data processingExperience with Java or JavaScript frameworks for web application developmentFamiliarity with REST API design and integration for connecting security tools and data sourcesExperience with GitLab or GitHub for version control and collaborative development workflowsKnowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) for low-code solutionsFamiliarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline management and agile project trackingExperience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Plotly, Grafana) for security dashboardsUnderstanding of web application security principles (OWASP Top 10) and secure coding practices Details Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
