Learn about our customers: anvilogic.com/customers Role Description As a Senior Software Engineer, Platform at Anvilogic, you are responsible for designing, building, and operating the platform services that form the foundation of our application. You will work directly on company critical systems that authenticate our users, securely connect to our customers' data stores, and manage the groups, roles, and permissions that govern access across the product. These are enterprise systems built for some of the largest companies in the world, so security, reliability, and scale are core to everything you build. Our platform services are written in Java and run on AWS. Role Responsibilities Build and design the next generation of Anvilogic products to meet the high-growth needs of our company and customers for years to comeDebug and solve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stackWork with product management teams to map out non-functional requirements and implement those requirements in your servicesCollaborate with stakeholders across the company to build new features at large-scale, while improving internal engineering standards, tooling, and processesSpread knowledge of platform and security best practices throughout Anvilogic through mentorship, documentation, and brown bag sessions Requirements Minimum Qualifications 4+ years of software development experienceProfessional experience developing in JavaExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with AWS, relational databases like Postgres/MySQL & big data pipelines such as Kaka and/or KinesisExperience with defining non-functional requirements, measuring SLOs, and balancing tech foundation and product timelinesAbility to quickly come up to speed on our platform tech stack, which uses Java deployed on AWS Preferred Qualifications Experience building multi-tenant SaaS systems for enterprise customersExperience deploying services using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, AWS SAM, CloudFormation, or CDK)Experience with observability technologies like Grafana and AWS CloudTrailWorking knowledge of Data Lakes (Snowflake, Databrics)Some experience with LLMs, implementing standard patterns (Agents, RAG, Tools), and leveraging popular frameworksKnowledge of Scala/Python Benefits Competitive salary with equity in the company Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Unlimited paid time off policy for work life balance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Monthly stipend for home internet and cell phone expenses
