Highlights

Work at the intersection of business and engineering, shaping enterprise systems, integrations, and technical product strategy with broad stakeholder collaboration.

Description

About The Role The Technical Product Owner (TPO) for Salesforce (SFDC) and additional GTM Techstack: including Gong, Gainsight, Anaplan, Oracle, and related revenue technology integrations. This role is an Agile team specialist who bridges high level business goals with complex engineering execution. Where a standard Product Owner focuses primarily on the "What" and the "Why," this TPO also grooms the "How" across system architecture, API design, integration patterns, code feasibility, data integrity, and technical debt for the SFDC platform and its surrounding tool set, bringing recommendations to the business solution architect and team for final approval. This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, and Engineering. The TPO will interact with key business stakeholders and must be a proactive innovator, discovering and creating improvements and evolutions across the GTM Techstack. The TPO then translates business needs into a well-groomed, technically sound backlog, partners closely with architects and developers, and makes informed tradeoffs between speed, scalability, and long term platform health. Key Responsibilities Product Ownership and Backlog Management Own the product backlog for SFDC and its integrated systems (Gong, Gainsight, Anaplan, and others), writing clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Prioritize backlog items based on business value, technical dependencies, risk, and platform impact, not just stakeholder urgency. Partner with Agile teams (Scrum Masters, developers, QA, and architects) to plan sprints, refine stories, and remove delivery blockers. Define and track success metrics for delivered features, ensuring outcomes are measured against original business intent. Technical Depth and Architecture Maintain working knowledge of SFDC architecture (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and related clouds as applicable), data model, automation (Flow, Apex triggers), and platform limits (governor limits, API call limits, storage). Understand integration architecture and data flow between SFDC and connected systems such as Gong (conversation intelligence), Gainsight (customer success and health scoring), and Anaplan (planning and forecasting). Evaluate technical feasibility of proposed features, including impact on APIs, middleware, data pipelines, and existing customizations. Partner with architects and engineers to assess build versus configure versus buy decisions, and to identify and prioritize technical debt remediation. Review solution designs and integration specifications for completeness, scalability, and alignment with platform standards. Stakeholder and Cross Functional Partnership Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Revenue Operations) and the technical delivery team. Translate ambiguous business requests into structured, technically feasible requirements. Communicate tradeoffs, timelines, and technical constraints to less technical stakeholders in clear, business friendly terms. Lead or contribute to roadmap planning for the SFDC ecosystem, balancing new capability requests against platform stability and technical debt. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and evolution across the SFDC platform and its surrounding tool set, rather than waiting on stakeholder requests. Governance, Quality, and Risk Ensure changes to SFDC and integrated systems follow change management, release management, and testing standards. Monitor data quality, integration health, and system performance across SFDC and connected tools, flagging risks early. Support compliance, security, and audit requirements related to SFDC data and third party integrations. Champion documentation of system configuration, integration logic, and business rules for long term maintainability. Basic Qualifications 3 or more years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, or Business Systems Analyst supporting a Salesforce (SFDC) environment. Demonstrated understanding of SFDC architecture, data model, and declarative and programmatic automation (Flow, Process Builder legacy knowledge, Apex fundamentals). Hands on experience with at least one major SFDC integration such as Gong, Gainsight, Anaplan, Clari, Outreach, or a comparable revenue technology tool. Working knowledge of REST or SOAP APIs, middleware or integration platforms (such as MuleSoft, Workato, or similar), and basic data flow and ETL concepts. Experience working within Agile or Scrum frameworks, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and story writing. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to read system logs, debug logs, or integration error reports well enough to guide troubleshooting conversations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to move fluidly between technical and business audiences. Active Salesforce Platform certification required, such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder. Preferred Qualifications Additional Salesforce certifications beyond the required platform certification, such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or Salesforce Certified Business Analyst. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification. Demonstrated AI competencies, with tools such as Agentforce, Einstein Copilot, Claude, Codex, or similar, to automate workflows, surface insights, or improve SFDC platform efficiency. Prior experience in Sales, Customer Success, or Revenue Operations, giving firsthand insight into how these teams use SFDC and its connected tools. Familiarity with SQL and the ability to write or interpret basic queries for data validation. Experience with Anaplan model structures, Gainsight health scoring and playbooks, or Gong conversation analytics. Exposure to DevOps practices for SFDC, including source control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and sandbox management. Why Join Us Benefits At Jeppesen ForeFlight, we know you want a rewarding career.
