About The Role Sage Software Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining robust cloud-based financial solutions that serve a broad spectrum of clients. The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for defining and supporting automation tooling for testing, building, and environment management across both on-premises and cloud platforms. The position involves close collaboration with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient, reliable, and secure software delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and scripting, with a passion for driving innovation and operational excellence within a fast-paced environment. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Senior DevOps Engineer role or similar is required. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in scripting and coding for automation, including experience with tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Helm Charts, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub, Zabbix, New Relic, ArgoCD, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems, infrastructure as code, and security best practices is essential. Experience working within ITIL frameworks, Agile methodologies, and implementing resilient, scalable solutions is highly desirable. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, testing, and deployment processes, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of software products.Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to understand requirements related to code, database migrations, and environment configurations, translating them into automated solutions.Implement and support automation tooling for test, build, and environment management across on-premises and cloud environments, utilizing tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.Develop scripts and processes to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.Assist in cloud migration and deployment projects, leveraging AWS, Azure, and related cloud services to optimize infrastructure performance, security, and cost-efficiency.Maintain and enhance security practices throughout the development lifecycle, including security testing, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments.Monitor system performance and reliability using tools like Zabbix and New Relic, troubleshooting issues proactively to minimize downtime.Follow ITIL best practices for incident, change, and problem management, ensuring compliance and stability of production environments.Participate in agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and continuous improvement initiatives.
