Senior Fullstack Software Engineer – Consumer Web 📍 San Francisco, CA | Onsite 5 Days/Week 💰 $200K–$400K Base + Equity 🕐 Full-Time We’re hiring a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to help build the web platform for a fast-growing consumer technology company in San Francisco. You’ll take ownership of building a new consumer web experience from the ground up, partnering closely with backend engineers and product/design to create a polished, high-performance product used by millions of users. What You’ll Do Build and ship a 0→1 consumer web product from the ground up.Establish frontend architecture, standards, and best practices using React and TypeScript.Own features end-to-end across the frontend, backend integration, APIs, and data models.Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, production-quality interfaces.Create smooth animations, motion, micro-interactions, and responsive experiences.Partner with backend engineers on API design, data models, and performance.Build internal tools and dashboards that improve business efficiency.Work in a fast-moving, highly autonomous startup environment where you’ll have significant ownership.What We’re Looking For 5+ years of fullstack web engineering experience.Deep expertise in React and TypeScript.Proven experience shipping a 0→1 consumer web product at a startup.Experience owning frontend architecture/platform standards for a consumer-facing product.Strong understanding of modern React patterns, hooks, performance, and frontend architecture.Demonstrated ability to turn Figma designs into pixel-perfect UIs.Strong experience with motion, animations, and micro-interactions.Strong technical fundamentals and ability to own problems end-to-end.Strong product sense and ability to make thoughtful UX decisions independently.Comfortable operating with high autonomy and shipping quickly in an ambiguous environment.Must be able to work onsite in San Francisco 5 days per week.Nice to Have Consumer gaming experiencePayments or fintech experienceReal-time featuresReact NativeExperience partnering with backend engineers on APIs and data modelsImportant This role is specifically looking for engineers who have built and shipped consumer products in startup environments. Candidates coming exclusively from large Big Tech or B2B/enterprise environments without 0→1 consumer product experience are unlikely to be a fit.
