Senior Developer - CTRM Applications

About The Role This position requires the successful candidate to work on a W2 directly with FDM. We cannot accept C2C, 1099 or employment sponsorship (e.g. H1-B) for this position. FDM is seeking a Sr. Dev Role, CTRM Apps located in Houston to support a project in the Oil & Gas sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 12 months but may be extended. This role will be in-person with requirements to be in office 5 days per week. About You Our client is seeking a Senior Developer to support and enhance Commodity Trading & Risk Management (CTRM) and retail pricing applications. This individual will serve as a senior technical contributor responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting business-critical trading technology solutions across cloud and on-premise environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enhancements for CTRM, retail pricing, risk management, and credit applications.Translate business requirements into technical designs, specifications, and development activities.Lead technical workstreams and provide guidance on architecture, design, and implementation.Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, analysts, and technology teams to deliver scalable solutions.Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective actions.Support application modernization efforts, including cloud adoption, DevOps automation, and CI/CD enhancements.Review vendor-delivered solutions and provide ongoing production support.Mentor junior team members and promote development best practices, code quality, and secure coding standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.5+ years of enterprise application development, integration, or support experience.5+ years supporting commodity trading, energy trading, retail pricing, or similar commercial systems.2+ years leading technical projects, application support efforts, or delivery initiatives.Strong experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.Strong understanding of incident, change, release, and production support processes.
