AI and Full Stack Software Engineer Lead

The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of software delivery, solution design, deployment, and an innovative, problem-solving mindset. Our team partners with business and technology areas to solve customer and enterprise problems using emerging technologies and modern engineering practices. Current areas of focus include artificial intelligence, agentic AI and automation, advanced predictive analytics, computer vision and contextual insights, data-driven solutions, and platform engineering. This role provides opportunities to lead small development efforts and collaborate with experienced technical leaders across the department. Engineers in the Innovation Group work across organizational boundaries to experiment, validate business value, and help move promising solutions from concept toward implementation. Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain scalable software applications using TypeScript, Angular, Go, and other appropriate technologies. Apply AI tools and techniques, including generative AI, agentic AI, and large language model-based solutions, to build intelligent capabilities that address business and customer needs. Collaborate with data engineering, data science, product, and business teams to integrate data-driven insights into software products and solutions. Build and optimize data pipelines, services, and supporting solutions for AI and machine learning workflows. Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions to evaluate emerging technologies, technical approaches, and potential business value. Apply modern software engineering practices, including automated testing, continuous integration and delivery, observability, security, and scalable cloud-based development. Contribute to solution architecture, technical design, code reviews, documentation, and deployment planning. Stay current with emerging AI, software engineering, data, and platform technologies and share knowledge with colleagues to continuously improve the Innovation Group's capabilities. Help transition validated solutions from experimentation into production by partnering with delivery teams and stakeholders. Qualifications Desired Experience: Strong experience with Python, Terraform, APIs, JSON and modern software development practices. Experience developing and deploying applications in AWS, including services such as Lambda, EC2, SQS, S3, CloudFront, API gateway, SNS, and SageMaker. Experience with cloud architecture and developmentProduction integration, deployment and support experience is preferred. Experience applying DevSecOps practices to software development and deployment. Applied experience using AI tools and frameworks, including:Generative AI developmentAgent-based AI solutionsLarge language model integration and deploymentFamiliarity with machine learning concepts and workflows. Strong experience with building data-based solutions, including:Working directly with data sets and understanding data pipelinesEngineering and delivering robust data solutions to support business needsDesigning and implementing scalable data architecturesProficiency in TypeScript and Angular for frontend development. Experience with React is a plus. Experience with Go for backend development is a plus. Azure experience is a plus but not required.
