About The Role We are seeking a driven and mission-focused Python Developer to join our dynamic team in Herndon, VA. In this role, you will be an integral part of projects that support the Intelligence Community, contributing to the development of secure and innovative software solutions. Your work will directly impact national security by designing, developing, and maintaining software components that address complex challenges. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow your expertise alongside experienced Software Developers, Data Engineers, and System Engineers while making a meaningful contribution to national defense. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development with a focus on Python programming. A minimum of a high school diploma coupled with at least 7 years of relevant experience is required. Candidates should have at least 3 years of recent experience developing with Python, along with a solid understanding of SQL and database management systems. Experience in front-end or full-stack development is also essential. Additional qualifications include familiarity with version control systems, containerization tools, and API development, which will be considered advantageous. Responsibilities Understand project requirements and design robust software components that meet client specifications.Research and develop innovative software concepts, creating proof-of-concept demonstrations to validate ideas.Collaborate effectively with team members to understand existing product features and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability and quality.Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and adhering to best coding practices within an agile development environment.Engage in daily stand-ups, planning sessions, and other agile ceremonies to facilitate smooth project execution.Communicate technical concepts clearly with fellow developers and occasionally interact with end-users to gather feedback and requirements.
