We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Games Engineer with strong expertise in building interactive, real-time gaming experiences using modern web technologies. This is a hands-on role where you’ll design, develop, and optimize high-performance game front-ends (PixiJS and React) and scalable back-end services (Node.js). You’ll play a key role in shaping our game architecture, improving performance and player experience, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, next-generation gaming experiences. What You’ll Be Doing Lead the design, development, and optimization of web-based game experiences using PixiJS and React for high-performance renderingArchitect and implement scalable back-end services using Node.js, integrating real-time gameplay features such as multiplayer, leaderboards, and in-game eventsCollaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate game concepts into performant, interactive experiencesOptimize client-server communication (e.g., WebSockets, REST APIs) to ensure seamless, low-latency gameplayApply game development best practices to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability across multiple projectsBuild and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable deployment of game features and updates Contribute to technical strategy, code reviews, and mentoring of junior engineers Technologies You’ll Work With Core Infrastructure: ReactPixiJSNodeJSTypescriptPostgreSQLRedisRabbitMQ Bonus Skills (Nice to Have Experience With): DatadogAWSCI/CD Pipelines What We’re Looking For: Must-Haves: 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on game or interactive application developmentStrong expertise in PixiJS (or other HTML5/WebGL frameworks) and/or React for high-performance front-end experiencesProficiency with Node.js and building scalable back-end services, including real-time systems (WebSockets, multiplayer sync)Experience with Databases, ideally PostgresSolid understanding of performance optimization, rendering pipelines, and client-server architectureExperience with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows Nice-to-Have: Background in crypto or iGamingBackground in multiplayer gaming, gambling, or iGaming platformsFamiliarity with game networking protocols, animations, and physics enginesExperience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineersKnowledge of cloud deployment (AWS) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) Why Join over99.com?
