The new generation of the Fabasoft eGov-Suite is therefore based on the Fabasphere architecture: a cloud-native Kubernetes architecture based on Red Hat OpenShift/OKD. As a Kubernetes Consultant, you will work with our customers to create the technical foundation for this transformation. You will support them in setting up OpenShift/OKD clusters and sustainable operating models, as well as in installing the eGov-Suite on the Fabasphere architecture or migrating it from the traditional VM-based reference architecture. In doing so, you will combine platform expertise with a clear focus on security and stable operations. We are looking for additional support! Your Mission You advise our customers on setting up the OpenShift/OKD-based platform for the Fabasoft eGov-Suite and translate requirements for availability, scalability, security, and operations into a sustainable target architecture.You plan and support the setup of OpenShift/OKD clusters. Together with the customer's IT team, you clarify topics such as networking, storage, DNS, certificates, identity management, and container registries.You develop a robust operating model together with the customer. This includes environments and responsibilities as well as monitoring, logging, backup and restore, lifecycle processes, and disaster preparedness.You design automated and reproducible deployment processes and integrate the platform into existing CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code practices.You install the Fabasoft eGov-Suite on the prepared OpenShift/OKD platform, configure the required platform services, and work with the teams involved to verify that all prerequisites for production operation have been met.You plan migrations from the traditional VM-based reference architecture to the Fabasphere architecture. You analyze the existing environment, develop migration, testing, and rollback concepts, and support the transition to production.You analyze technical issues across the entire platform and work with customer IT, operations, development, and product management on sustainable solutions.You document the architecture and operations, conduct technical workshops, and ensure that our customers' operations teams can securely take over and continue operating the platform. Your Profile You have completed IT-related education (e.g. business informatics/computer science or a comparable qualification) and have relevant professional experience in building and operating modern platforms.You have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift/OKD in production-like or production environments.You have a solid understanding of Linux, containers, networking, storage, TLS certificates, identity management, and container registries, and can systematically analyze technical dependencies.You are familiar with concepts for high availability, monitoring, logging, backup and restore, as well as the secure operation of containerized applications.You have experience with automated deployment processes and at least one tool or methodology in the areas of CI/CD, GitOps, or Infrastructure as Code. Knowledge of Helm, Kubernetes Operators, Argo CD, Ansible, or Terraform is a plus.You can analyze existing application landscapes and plan migrations in a structured manner. Experience in migrating VM-based applications to Kubernetes platforms is a plus.You work in a structured manner, document thoroughly, and maintain a clear overview even when dealing with complex issues.You communicate clearly and enjoy working with architecture, operations, information security, development, and project management.You have very good German skills as well as good written and spoken English skills.
