About the Opportunity:
The DevSecOps / Cloud Security Engineer will lead the security efforts related to software development, release pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
This role is crucial for enforcing security standards within the engineering teams by implementing and operationalizing existing tools and frameworks.
The position involves close collaboration with a junior engineer and has direct support from executive leadership to ensure pipeline security ownership.

Responsibilities:
Enforce code-security scanning (SAST/SCA) as mandatory in the CI/CD pipelines.Introduce automated application testing (DAST) and secrets scanning.Operationalize a 15-domain, cloud-agnostic security framework across all AWS environments.Manage cloud security posture through CrowdStrike CSPM and address misconfigurations.Centralize AWS access using Okta, implement least-privilege roles, and define resource tagging standards.Implement managed secrets storage with rotation and verify encryption-at-rest.Support data leak prevention initiatives beyond email.Configure immutable backup solutions and assist in defining recovery objectives.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior cloud security personnel and extend security frameworks to acquired units.

Requirements:
Minimum 5 years in DevOps/platform and security engineering with ownership of CI/CD systems and AWS.Practical experience with SAST, DAST, and SCA tools and implementing effective security gates.Deep knowledge of AWS security including IAM, account management, networking, KMS, and posture management.Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Python.Collaborative approach suitable for distributed teams and mentoring across time zones.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Annual compensation estimated at 180,000, subject to factors such as skills, experience, and industry background.
