Job Title - Java/J2EE Developer Location - Downtown/Financial District, NYC Environment - Onsite Interview Process - 1st video interview with a possible coding test. 2nd In-Person Pay Rate - $45 to $75.00 per hour on W2 Contract Term - 12 Month Contract We are seeking a Java/J2EE Developer to join an enterprise application development team supporting business-critical web applications. This is a strong opportunity for a Java developer with hands-on experience in J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Integration, Spring Batch, and Oracle, who enjoys working across the full software development lifecycle. Experience within Financial Services is highly desirable but not required. What You’ll Be Doing Design, develop, enhance, and support web-based Java/J2EE applications. Develop applications and services using the Spring Framework, including Spring Integration and Spring Batch. Work with Oracle databases to support application functionality and data processing. Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, implementation, and production support. Create and maintain technical design and application documentation. Write clean, reliable, and maintainable Java code. Perform unit and application testing to ensure quality and stability. Troubleshoot technical and application issues through debugging, research, and root-cause analysis. Work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop effective solutions. Follow established development standards, methodologies, and best practices. Required Qualifications 2–4+ years of professional Java/J2EE development experience. Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE application development. Strong experience with the Spring Framework. Experience with Spring Integration. Experience with Spring Batch. Hands-on experience working with Oracle databases and SQL. Experience developing and supporting web-based enterprise applications. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience within the Financial Services or Banking industry. Experience supporting large-scale or business-critical enterprise applications. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
