About the Role We are looking for a Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure who has hands-on experience building and shipping data infrastructure and is strong in Python, data pipelines, and data modeling. This is a hands-on software engineering role for someone who has worked close to the data infrastructure layer and can independently take technical projects from development through delivery. The ideal candidate has experience in an early-stage, venture-backed startup and is comfortable operating with significant ownership and limited direction. What You'll Do Design, build, and ship data ingestion pipelines.Design and implement data transformation pipelines.Build and maintain data infrastructure using Python.Apply strong data modeling fundamentals to production systems.Design and work with data schemas.Understand and maintain data lineage.Work with data permissions and access controls.Own engineering projects with limited day-to-day direction.Make technical decisions in an environment with evolving requirements.Work independently for extended periods while maintaining delivery and quality.Take on increasing technical responsibility as the organization and product evolve.Required QualificationsSoftware Engineering1–6 years of professional software engineering experience.Strong hands-on experience with Python.Experience building and shipping production software.Focus or significant experience in data infrastructure.Data Infrastructure Candidates must have hands-on experience with: Data ingestion pipelinesData transformation pipelinesData infrastructureData modelingSchema designData lineageData permissionsStartup ExperienceExperience working at an early-stage, venture-backed startup.Startup experience ranging from Pre-Seed through Series D is relevant.Comfortable working in an environment where requirements may be ambiguous or change quickly.
