Gauging Engineer The Opportunity: What a fabulous opportunity for an experienced Engineer with experience of Gauging and Measurements or Calibration. The GaugeEngineer will provide technical expertise for manufacturing processes on this expansive, engineering site, focusing on measurement equipment for production gauging. The Manufacturing Engineer / Gauging Engineer will be to develop automated manufacturing processes whilst offering the team measurement expertise. The Role: Create, verify and release measurement programs for automated measurement equipment including 3D structured light systems (Zeiss Scanbox) & CMMDesign and deliver tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processesDevelopment and implementation of new advanced manufacturing equipment and automationSupport justification of capital funding requestsCost reduction and process improvement of current manufacturing techniques.Creating and maintaining all documentation including SOPs, EMSs, JSAs for Production gauging and other Automated operationsSupport NADCAP compliance for NADCAP controlled manufacturing equipmentMentor other team members in CAD, GD&T & AutomationSupport identification and implementation of new manufacturing technologyResponsible for program storage, data back-ups and revision control for Manufacturing equipmentImplement and support EH&S activitiesPreferred Skills: Minimum of a HNC or equivalent in an Engineering disciplineMinimum of five years experience in an engineering environmentKnowledge of 3DSL measurement equipmentCMM Programming experience (Renishaw Modus)Experience in Aerofoil InspectionExperience trouble-shooting mechanical systems (pneumatics, tooling, measurement feedback systems)Knowledge of automation systemsGood understanding of Engineering drawings and GD&TGood understanding of tooling and fixture designWorking Hours: 8.00am-4.00pm Monday to Friday Associated Benefits: Competitive salary in the region of £45000 depending on your experience and qualifications.Day working (Mon-Fri) and a range of benefits including company bonus and an excellent pension scheme and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
