The role We are looking for a Software Engineer to build and deliver the applications, data tools and integrations supporting FluidAI’s health systems technology initiatives. You will work across the full stack to translate clinical and operational requirements into reliable software, develop planning and analytics capabilities, and support implementation in customer environments. Your work may include hospital planning and simulation applications, operational dashboards, integrations with electronic health record (EHR) systems, medical devices and other clinical and operational platforms, and the backend services and data pipelines that support them. You will own assigned software components from requirements through testing and production deployment, with responsibility for code quality, data integrity, technical documentation and troubleshooting. You will work closely with our software team and senior technical and program leads. Responsibilities · Build and maintain full-stack software for healthcare applications. · Design and build planning and simulation applications, backend services and operational dashboards. · Build data pipelines and integrations with EHR systems, medical devices and other healthcare platforms. · Work with clinical and operational teams to define requirements and improve features. · Work with LLMs and AI agents as core product components. · Contribute to architecture, deployment, and infrastructure decisions. · Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for testing and deployment. · Test, document and troubleshoot software and data integrations. Requirements · 3+ years of software development experience, with demonstrated ownership of software components from requirements through production deployment within a collaborative engineering team. · Strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills and experience building web interfaces with React or a comparable framework. · Backend development experience using C#/.NET, Python or Node.js, including API design and integration between services. · Experience designing backend systems, including data flows between services and relational or document database schemas. · Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments; confidence debugging issues across the application stack. · Ability to turn clinical or operational questions into specifications and requirements, validate calculations and explain findings, assumptions and technical trade-offs clearly. · Clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues, curiosity about healthcare, and the ability to work independently while seeking input when needed. · A degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Nice to have · Experience with EHR systems, medical-device connectivity or other healthcare integrations, including familiarity with HL7 V2 or FHIR. · Experience with simulation, forecasting, data visualization or interactive spatial applications. · Familiarity with workflow automation, ETL/ELT frameworks, integration engines, BI tools or data warehouses. · Experience deploying software in enterprise or regulated environments, including customer-managed infrastructure.
