DevOps Engineer

iOENT is looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to join our Platform team in Tallinn. You’ll work across a large, business-critical infrastructure environment while helping us build the next generation of our platform from the ground up. This role is suited to someone who goes beyond maintaining infrastructure built by others. We’re looking for an engineer who can understand complex systems, troubleshoot production issues, build and improve infrastructure independently, and automate away inefficient ways of working. What you’ll do Own and improve the day-to-day health, reliability and lifecycle of our production infrastructure.Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and production issues, contribute to incident resolution and drive durable fixes.Work with a large existing environment, including legacy and internally built infrastructure, while identifying opportunities to simplify and modernise it.Build and improve automation that makes infrastructure easier and safer to operate.Build and operate monitoring, observability and alerting across metrics, logs and traces.Improve system performance, resource utilisation, availability and scalability.Help build a new provider-agnostic platform from scratch, with a focus on automation, self-service and developer experience.Create internal tooling and paved paths that allow product engineers to ship safely with less dependency on the Platform team.Improve cloud cost visibility and efficiency through monitoring, reporting and practical optimisation.Work closely with software engineers, helping solve infrastructure challenges and continuously improving how teams build and deliver software. What we’re looking for Strong hands-on DevOps/infrastructure engineering experience, including building and improving infrastructure, not only maintaining it.Solid experience with Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, and a major public cloud - AWS preferred, with GCP or Azure also relevant.Hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code experience - Terraform preferred, with OpenTofu or Pulumi also relevant.Strong troubleshooting skills across complex production environments, including reliability, scalability, performance and observability.Experience with automation, GitOps, CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.Comfortable working across modern and legacy infrastructure, making pragmatic technical decisions and driving improvements independently.Strong ownership, professional English and effective collaboration with engineering and cross-functional teams.Currently based in Estonia with the right to work here.
