Senior Backend Software Engineer

Overview We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and support high-scale backend systems that power connected vehicle and fleet intelligence solutions. This role focuses on processing massive volumes of telematics and vehicle data, building APIs and data pipelines, and delivering cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate has strong experience with backend development, distributed systems, cloud technologies, API development, and large-scale data processing. Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs for connected vehicle applications.Build and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines that process high-volume vehicle telemetry data.Develop services supporting:GPS and location trackingVehicle diagnosticsDriver behavior analyticsTrip and event processingSensor and telematics dataDesign and maintain cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Build integrations using messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka and Pub/Sub.Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions for analytics and reporting.Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver scalable fleet intelligence solutions.Support CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, and production operations.Drive development best practices including testing, API versioning, performance optimization, and software quality.
