QA Automation Engineer (Mid-Level) Location: Manhattan Beach / Los Angeles, CA - Onsite About the Role Our client is looking for a Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Manhattan Beach. This role is for someone with solid hands-on automation experience who can work independently, contribute to test strategy, and help mature the team's automation framework alongside developers and senior QA engineers. What You'll Do: Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts for web and/or API applicationsBuild out and extend the team's automation framework and CI/CD test pipelinesExecute manual and automated test cases; document and track defects through resolutionCollaborate with developers and product managers to translate requirements into test scenarios and acceptance criteriaParticipate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retros) as part of a cross-functional teamPerform regression, functional, and integration testing across releasesIdentify gaps in test coverage and recommend improvements to testing processesMentor junior QA team members as needed What You Bring: 3–5 years of experience in QA, with substantial hands-on test automation experienceSolid experience with an automation framework such as Selenium, Cypress, or PlaywrightProficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Java, Python, or JavaScript)Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, or similar)Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, or similar)Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum methodologyStrong attention to detail and clear written communication skillsMust be local to or able to commute to the Manhattan Beach / LA area
