Senior AI Engineer

Permanent | £90,000 to £120,000 | London | Hybrid, 1 day per week onsite We're recruiting on behalf of a fast growing UK technology company building AI powered software used in critical, real world operations. The work goes straight into live production systems that real users depend on, in an environment where reliability and security are non negotiable. The Role We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join the team permanently, integrating LLMs and broader AI capabilities into production grade software. You'll work as part of a cross functional team, translating complex product requirements into reliable, scalable technical solutions and building AI that works in the real world, not just AI that demos well. What You'll Be Doing Design, build and deploy production grade AI softwareApply emerging AI architecture patterns including RAG, agentic workflows, evals, fine tuning and LLM orchestration directly into the productCollaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ship technical solutions at paceEnsure the reliability and scalability of AI powered features in a demanding, high availability production environmentContribute to raising AI engineering practices and standards across the wider team What We're Looking For 3+ years professionally developing products involving AI, LLMs or applied machine learning/data science, with proven experience deploying models or AI systems into productionStrong understanding of AI and ML architectures and patterns including RAG, prompt engineering, fine tuning, evals and LLM orchestration, or equivalent applied ML/data science methodsStrong Python and/or TypeScript experienceComfortable working in a fast paced product and engineering environment The Details Permanent£90,000 to £120,000 depending on experienceHybrid working, 1 day per week in LondonOpportunity to work on production AI systems solving complex, real world problems
