About the role We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join Finvent and take a leading hands-on role in developing a new product category. You will help turn a clearly defined business idea into a working product. In practical terms, you will build the screens people use, the services and database behind them, the secure handling of records and documents, and the processes needed to release and update the software reliably. We are looking for an accomplished software engineer who can learn a new business area, ask good questions and work closely with colleagues who provide the art, collections and wealth-management knowledge. What you will do Design and build the first working version of a Saas platform but also on premises version together with the product and information team.Create clear, easy-to-use web screens for entering, reviewing and reporting collection information.Build the backend services, APIs and database that store and process artwork, document, ownership, valuation, insurance and related records.Develop practical tools for importing information from spreadsheets and other sources, checking it and highlighting missing or inconsistent data.Implement secure login, user permissions, audit history and safe storage of sensitive documents and images.Set up and maintain the Azure development, testing and production environments.Use Azure DevOps, Git, automated testing and deployment pipelines so that releases are controlled, repeatable and well documented.Package the application in containers so it can run either as a Finvent-managed service or, where required, within a client's own cloud environment.Work with Product Lead to turn real user needs into practical software features.Explain technical choices clearly, identify risks early and avoid unnecessary complexity during the first product phase.Document the system, key technical decisions, releases and operating procedures so that the product can be supported and expanded over time. You may be a fit if you have Typically 7 or more years of professional software-development experience, with strong evidence of personal ownership and successful delivery.Strong experience with React and TypeScript for modern web applications.Strong backend and API development experience. Python and FastAPI are preferred; strong candidates from comparable modern backend environments will also be considered.Strong experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database, including database design, migrations, performance and data integrity.Practical experience with Docker and containerized software delivery.Experience deploying and operating applications on Microsoft Azure.Experience with Git, CI/CD and Azure DevOps or comparable engineering-delivery tools.A good understanding of authentication, user permissions, security, encryption, audit logging and secure document handling.Experience with business applications that include structured data, imports, reporting, documents or complex workflows.Experience with B2B SaaS, financial services, wealth management, insurance, legal technology or other high-trust environments is an advantage, not a requirement.Clear communication, sound engineering judgement, reliable execution and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical colleagues.Very good English. Greek is useful but not essential for an exceptional candidate. A European passport or valid EU working visa is required.
