🚀 Senior Web Security Engineer | Browser/ Web Applications Security | £85,000 base 10% bonus & shares | remote UK We're looking for an experienced Senior Web Security Engineer to join our team and help secure high-performance web applications operating in some of the world's most demanding environments. This is a hands-on, technically challenging role at the intersection of browser security, JavaScript, WebAssembly, anti-reverse engineering and application hardening. You'll be tackling sophisticated client-side threats while building secure, highly optimised solutions that perform across modern browsers and devices. What you'll be doing: • Design and develop secure JavaScript and WebAssembly components for production applications • Build anti-tamper, integrity verification and runtime protection mechanisms • Develop high-performance WebAssembly modules using C++, Rust or AssemblyScript • Research and mitigate emerging client-side attack techniques • Analyse browser behaviour, JavaScript engines and WebAssembly runtimes • Investigate vulnerabilities and lead root-cause analysis and remediation • Work closely with engineering, product and red teams to embed security throughout the SDLC • Help shape technical architecture and mentor other engineers What we're looking for: • 5+ years' software engineering experience • Expert-level JavaScript/TypeScript and strong production WebAssembly experience • Experience with Rust, C++ or another systems language used to produce WASM • Deep understanding of browser internals and modern web APIs • Experience defending applications against reverse engineering, runtime modification, instrumentation and code injection • Knowledge of areas such as WASM binary analysis, obfuscation/de-obfuscation, anti-debugging, anti-tamper and runtime integrity • Strong testing, debugging, profiling and CI/CD experience • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly If you are keen to find out more please apply for a detailed discussion.
