DevOps Engineer - OpenShift

W2 ONLY***** We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to configure and maintain Red Hat OpenShift containers and WebSphere Application Server (WAS) environments. In this role, you will support application builds and deployment plans across multiple releases, monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and help move solutions into production. You will work with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to implement solutions based on design requirements. Responsibilities Configure, deploy, administer, and troubleshoot Kubernetes and OpenShift environments, including end-to-end environment setup.Maintain containerized applications, WAS servers, build processes, and deployment plans.Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation using tools such as Bitbucket, Ansible, Jenkins, and Git.Develop and maintain automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for provisioning, deployment, and operations.Support Java/J2EE enterprise applications and use monitoring and development tools to identify and resolve issues.Design and maintain cloud-native solutions while monitoring infrastructure performance, availability, scalability, and cost.Required qualifications Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.Strong Java/J2EE development experience supporting enterprise applications.Experience with Microsoft Copilot, AI agents, Generative AI solutions, or similar AI-powered development tools.Experience with Bitbucket, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, and tools such as Splunk and Eclipse.Familiarity with code review and static analysis tools such as SonarQube and Crucible.Experience building or maintaining solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills and experience working in Agile or Scrum teams.Preferred qualification Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
