Build, Deployment & Secure Coding Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Build, Deployment & Secure Coding Engineer to join the Platform Engineering function of a leading global investment bank. This is a hands-on engineering role within a highly regulated technology environment, focused on software build, deployment automation, CI/CD, secure coding and software supply-chain controls. The successful candidate will work across enterprise engineering platforms, supporting development teams and ensuring software can be built, secured and deployed in a controlled, repeatable and auditable manner. 🔧 Key Responsibilities • Engineer, administer and support enterprise build and deployment platforms • Design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines • Troubleshoot complex build, packaging and deployment issues • Develop and maintain deployment integrations and engineering tooling • Support migration from legacy deployment tooling to Octopus Deploy • Work across GitHub Enterprise, TeamCity, JFrog Artifactory/Xray and ServiceNow • Develop and maintain secure coding standards and pipeline controls • Implement and support SAST, SCA, dependency scanning and secrets detection • Support tools such as GitHub CodeQL, Dependabot and JFrog Xray • Maintain software artefact repositories, dependency management and release traceability • Support Windows and Linux build/deployment environments • Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions • Provide technical evidence for audit, risk and regulatory requirements • Work closely with Cyber Security, Development, Infrastructure, Architecture and Service Management teams 💻 Essential Experience We're looking for strong hands-on experience in: • C# and .NET – including the ability to read, maintain and troubleshoot existing code • CI/CD and enterprise build & deployment engineering • Visual Studio, MSBuild, NuGet, IIS, Windows Services and REST APIs • PowerShell and working knowledge of Bash/shell scripting • Git, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews and release management • Artefact repositories, package versioning and dependency management • Secure software development and application security controls • Windows Server and on-premises application hosting • Linux build and deployment environments • SQL Server and database deployment Please note, there will be an expectation to be in the office 4 days a week (near Moorage station).
