Cloud Infrastructure Engineer West Midlands | Hybrid Working (1 day on-site per week) Full Time – 37.5 hours Salary: Up to £60,000 We’re recruiting a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join an established organisation as it continues to develop and modernise its Microsoft Azure environment. This is a hands-on engineering role with scope to influence how cloud infrastructure is designed and delivered. You’ll work across Azure, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, automation, security and hybrid identity, helping move the environment towards increasingly cloud-native ways of working. The role You’ll act as a technical specialist for Azure infrastructure, designing and delivering secure, scalable and resilient cloud services. Your responsibilities will include: Designing, deploying and managing Azure IaaS and PaaS servicesBuilding and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Bicep or similarDeveloping CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deliveryImproving automation and repeatability across deploymentsImplementing cloud governance, security controls and cost optimisationManaging Azure identity, SSO and hybrid identity servicesMonitoring environments using Azure Monitor and Log AnalyticsSupporting security and compliance requirementsDesigning and testing backup and disaster recovery solutionsTroubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and leading root-cause analysis What we're looking for: 5+ years' experience within Cloud, Infrastructure or Systems EngineeringStrong hands-on Microsoft Azure experience across IaaS and PaaSCommercial experience with Terraform, Bicep or another IaC technologyExperience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesStrong networking, server, storage and virtualisation knowledgeExperience across cloud security, compliance and monitoringAutomation/scripting experience with PowerShell, Python or similarExperience with containers, Azure Application Gateway/WAF/Load Balancers or Azure data services would be advantageous. Azure and/or Terraform certifications/experience would also be beneficial. Why consider it? This isn't simply an Azure support role.
