Industry experience in Rocket Launching Services for Aerospace & Defense
- Plan and execute parallel upgrades of the Non-Production (NPRD) and Production (PRD) OpenText environments to Archive Server 25.4, Content Server 25.4 with xECM for SAP 25.4, and OTDS 25.4 on new Gov Cloud systems.
- Execute wholesale content reloading from the underlying volumes; no partial migration approach.
- Transition existing ECC systems to the new OpenText servers and connect new S/4HANA systems as each environment becomes available.
- Maintain dual connectivity so OpenText xECM for SAP services both ECC and S/4HANA systems throughout the transition, and disconnect ECC systems upon cutover.
- Update and replace ECC VIM add-ons with S/4HANA-compatible VIM add-ons during Golden Shell creation from the Sandbox conversion.
- Upgrade all third-party OpenText add-ons to S/4HANA-compatible versions and verify expected operation.
- Align the OpenText upgrade to the Application Migration workstream schedule, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and RACI.
Integration, Remediation, and Validation:
- Remediate and validate all existing applicable OpenText-specific customizations, workflows, configurations, and integrations.
- Verify that incoming and outgoing interfaces involving OpenText are not adversely impacted by the Gov Cloud move and the version upgrade.
- Confirm underlying connectivity prerequisites are in place and functioning: IP, DNS, firewall rules, reverse proxy, and SSL certificates between OpenText, ECC, and S/4HANA systems.
- Coordinate with SAP RISE / NS2 teams on infrastructure provisioning, OS/DB activities, and backup and restore in support of OpenText environment builds.
- Ensure the upgraded OpenText add-on is available and fully operational per the agreed schedule to support SAP integration testing, UAT, cutover, and production deployment.
