Automotive Design and Release Engineer

Revology Cars is hiring an Automotive Design & Release Engineer to develop vehicle components and manage product revisions from concept through production. This role works with suppliers and internal teams to ensure components meet cost, quality, performance, and manufacturing requirements. PAY AND BENEFITS Medical, dental, and vision coverage120 hours of paid time off (PTO) annually10 paid holiday annually401(k) retirement plan with up to 4% company match WHAT YOU'LL DO Manage the design and development of new vehicle components and revisions to existing products from concept through productionTake ownership of the cost, quality, and performance of purchased and build-to-print vehicle componentsSelect materials and manufacturing processes, evaluate suppliers, and consider packaging and appearance requirementsAssess assembly feasibility, serviceability, variable costs, tooling costs, and development costsDefine expected performance requirements and plan and execute testing to validate component and system fit and functionDesign parts and assemblies in CATIA V5, applying appropriate specifications, dimensions, and GD&TManage and document multiple projects, and present research findings and technical documentation clearlyCommunicate and coordinate with production teams on process changes, part changes, fixtures, tools, and schedulesApply knowledge of materials and processes relevant to low-volume production and prototypingWork directly with suppliers to ensure component quality and compliance with specifications REQUIREMENTS Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited schoolThree to five years of experience with an automotive OEM, Tier 1 supplier, or Tier 2 supplier; other relevant automotive experience, including military or non-OEM work, may be consideredExperience designing automotive mechanical components with consideration for DFA, DFM, DFMEA, and serviceabilityAbility to design parts and assemblies in CATIA V5Familiarity with prototyping materials and manufacturing processes for plastic and metal componentsExperience working directly with suppliers, in-house manufacturing, purchasing, quality engineering, and manufacturing engineeringHands-on expertise in a particular vehicle system and basic knowledge of automotive systems overallUnderstanding of manufacturing accuracy and repeatabilityStrong written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with Microsoft Office applications and SmartsheetComfort using automotive and general-purpose hand and power tools, including drills and grindersAbility to work on-site in office, automotive shop, and manufacturing environments, and to follow applicable safety standardsWillingness to work overtime when required; weekend work is rare but may be required PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE CATIA V5 surface design experienceExperience with 3DEXPERIENCE or Aras InnovatorExperience with materials and manufacturing processes used in low-volume vehicle production ABOUT REVOLOGY CARS We build reproduction Mustangs as properly engineered vehicles with all of the classic style and character of the original, but with the functionality of modern technologyWe are growing rapidly and provide excellent advancement opportunities for qualified team members Revology Cars is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
