We are seeking a skilled Python/PHP Developer/Programmer. As part of our development team, you will collaborate to define, design, and ship new features and functionalities for our SaaS products. Your primary focus will be on developing server-side logic in Python and PHP and integrating front-end elements into the applications. We are a small but dynamic and agile team and our products are constantly in use by our customers and we are always tweaking and updating. Position Details: Contract positionFully remote What You’ll Do: Design, build, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure Python and PHP applications.Collaborate with the team to define, design, and ship new features from idea to production.Develop server-side logic and integrate it with user-facing front-end elements.Use AI developer tools, such as AI coding assistants and agents, to plan, write, test, review, and refactor code.Identify bugs and performance bottlenecks and implement lasting fixes.Help improve code quality, testing, documentation, and automation.Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback. What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (e.g., professional work, internships, substantial personal or open-source projects).Solid programming fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and debugging.Working knowledge of Python and/or PHP, whether from coursework, internships, personal projects, or professional work.Experience with, or a genuine interest in, AI developer tools, along with the judgment to review, test, and verify AI-generated code.Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows (branches, pull requests, code review).Understanding of core web technologies such as HTTP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.Clear written and verbal communication, curiosity, and an eagerness to learn as part of a remote team. Nice to Have: Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants or agentic coding tools (we’d love to hear about a project or workflow you built with it).Experience with PHP frameworks (such as Laravel or Symfony) or Python web frameworks (such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI).Familiarity with SQL and ORM libraries (such as SQLAlchemy or Doctrine).Exposure to server-side templating languages such as Jinja2 or Blade.Understanding of user authentication and authorization between servers and environments.Familiarity with event-driven or asynchronous programming in Python.Familiarity with Agile methodologies.Experience with additional programming languages.A portfolio, GitHub profile, capstone, or internship project you’re proud of.
