We believe in our employees and provide them excellent benefits.** Role: Senior Salesforce Developer Location: Denton, TX (onsite 5 days/week for the contract duration then 3 days/week as a possibility) Duration: 6 month Contract-to-Hire **W2 ROLE** Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools (Flow, Process Builder).Configure solutions using standard Salesforce features and functionality (e.g., objects, fields, page layouts, Flow, validation rules, reports/dashboards), evaluating configuration-based approaches before custom development where appropriate.Conduct business process analysis with university stakeholders to identify requirements, document current- and future-state workflows, and design effective, scalable Salesforce solutions.Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and other integration technologies.Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries and data models to support reporting, data migration, and integration needs.Collaborate with functional teams (admissions, enrollment management, advancement, student affairs, IT) to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Administer and configure Salesforce org(s), including security models, profiles, permission sets, workflows, and custom objects/fields.Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, unit testing, deployment planning, and post-release support.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure data integrity and system reliability.Maintain technical documentation for custom development, integrations, and system configurations.Stay current with Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices, and recommend enhancements to improve university processes.Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior developers and administrators as needed.Ensure compliance with university data security, privacy, and governance policies, including FERPA where applicable.Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.8+ years of relevant experience building solutions using Salesforce platform or equivalent.Significant professional experience developing on the Salesforce platform (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL).Demonstrated experience building and supporting Salesforce integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs.Demonstrated experience with business process analysis and solution design, including gathering requirements, documenting workflows, and evaluating standard configuration versus custom development approaches.Solid understanding of Salesforce data architecture, governance, security model, and declarative automation tools (Flow, Process Builder).Prior experience working in higher education.Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, data analysis, and data manipulation.
