Job Title: Backend Developer Location: Atlanta GA Contract Job Description – Senior Backend Engineer (AWS Serverless & AI Platforms) Experience: 7+ Years Location: U.S (Atlanta,GA) Employment Type: Full-Time/Contract Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in TypeScript on AWS Serverless, and AI-powered application development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and building scalable, event-driven backend systems while leveraging modern AI technologies such as Claude, AWS Bedrock, and LangGraph. This role requires an AI-native engineer who is fluent in AI-assisted coding practices and has hands-on experience delivering enterprise-grade solutions in a true Agile environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using TypeScript on AWS Serverless architecture.Build and manage RESTful APIs, domain integrations, and event-driven workflows across multiple enterprise systems.Architect and implement distributed systems using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, and related AWS services.Develop and maintain Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services using TypeScript.Build AI-enabled applications leveraging Claude, AWS Bedrock, LangGraph.Design and orchestrate AI workflows, intelligent agents, RAG solutions, and enterprise AI integrations.Have experience on NoSQL using DynamoDB and integrate with enterprise analytics platforms such as Snowflake.Implement caching strategies to improve application performance and scalability.Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, Frontend Engineers, and Data Engineering teams.Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and cloud-native best practices.Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.Required Skills Backend Development: Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript on AWS serverless, REST APIs, microservices, and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architectures.AWS Serverless: Expertise in AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, Cognito, and AWS CDK for cloud-native application development.Event-Driven Architecture: Experience designing and implementing scalable event-driven integrations across multiple business domains.Generative AI & AI Platforms: Hands-on experience with Claude, AWS Bedrock, LangGraph, Python, Bedrock Guardrails, AI agents, and RAG-based solutions.Identity & Access Management: Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), Okta, and Microsoft Entra ID for authentication and identity management. Experience implementing OAuth scopes, role-based access control (RBAC), enterprise entitlements, and authorization frameworks for secure enterprise applications.AI-Assisted Coding: Proficiency with Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools, with experience leveraging AI to improve development speed, quality, and productivity.Data & Analytics: Strong understanding of DynamoDB, NoSQL data, caching strategies, enterprise data platforms, and Snowflake integration for analytics and reporting.DevOps & Engineering Practices: Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Git-based workflows, monitoring, and cloud security best practices.Agile Delivery: Proven experience working in a real Agile/Scrum environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality softwareAI-Assisted Development (Mandatory) Proficient with Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI coding tools.Ability to leverage AI for code generation, testing, debugging, refactoring, and documentation.Experience working in an AI-first engineering environment with measurable productivity improvements.Preferred Qualifications AWS Certifications.Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).Financial services or enterprise SaaS experience.Strong understanding of cloud security and DevOps practices
