Product Compliance Engineer

For our client, an innovative and fast-growing high-tech company, we are looking for a Product Compliance Engineer. You will make sure new electronic systems meet all international safety, EMC and environmental regulations. What you'll work on Our client develops advanced electronic systems for demanding industrial and medical-grade applications. As the compliance specialist in a multidisciplinary R&D team, you are involved from the concept phase right through to certification and series production. You make sure regulations support innovation instead of slowing it down. Your responsibilities Own the certification roadmap for new products for markets worldwide (CE, UL, FCC, RoHS, REACH)Be the go-to expert for design engineers on safety and compliance questions, from concept to end of lifeTurn standards and legislation into concrete, workable design requirementsSet up and carry out test plans for electrical safety, EMC and environmental complianceContribute to risk analyses such as DFMEA, PFMEA and product risk assessmentsFind root causes and solutions for difficult EMC and safety issuesManage test labs, notified bodies and authorities so approvals arrive on timeSupport prototype and production builds with a focus on safety and complianceAssess what design changes mean for existing certificationsKeep technical files, DoCs, risk assessments and test reports complete and audit-proofYour profile BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or similarAt least 5 years of hands-on experience with product compliance and certification in a high-tech R&D settingSolid knowledge of IEC/EN and UL safety standards, EMC directives and environmental legislation such as RoHS and REACHExperience with compliance test programmes and technical documentationAn analytical, solution-driven mindsetExcellent command of English, spoken and writtenWhat's in it for you A salary that grows with your performanceGenerous leave and flexible working hours, with extra hours compensated in timeA personal development plan and plenty of room to grow into other roles and projectsAn entrepreneurial, informal culture where your ideas are welcomeGreat facilities and extras that make your working day easier
