Mission:The Delivery Manager co-ordinates and orchestrates activity to enable the successful delivery of their agreed outcome. Own the delivery activity in an effective and efficient mannerEnsure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to expectationsEnsure PSL always deliver quality solutions and a quality serviceEnsure PSL deliveries are managed and controlled to support PSL financial and operational objectivesEnsure work is seamlessly managed and coordinated between internal PSL teams. Responsibilities:The Project Manager has overall responsibility for the success of their projects: Leadership Motivating and inspiring teams to deliver business outcomes Articulating the vision, objectives, and outcomes of deliveriesDeveloping teams by providing regular valuable feedback, coaching & mentoringFacilitate effective planning and delivery checkpoint meetings. Relationship Management Co-ordinate with key stakeholders Create and execute a stakeholder management and communication planEnsure implementation and release deliveries support positive net promotor scores. Project Planning Ensure work is planned and delivered to support commitments made both to our clients and internal stakeholdersBuild and execute consistent and repeatable plans adhering to planning standardsCut plans in different ways for communication and stakeholder management i.e. detailed plan, high level plan, milestone plan, plan on a pageUnderstand and articulate the critical path for release delivery. Project Financials Adhere to agreed revenue and cost positions as defined in project governanceTrack actuals against forecasts and manage to ensure delivery against forecasts Accurately articulate current financial position to key stakeholders. Project Delivery Support teams to enable them to deliver for the projectManage and resolve dependencies between projectsMonitor and control delivery activities. Governance Provide regular status reporting for all deliveriesPrepare & run steering meetingsImplement controls so all work has formal approval to proceed and formal acceptance when completeDrive smooth quality gate transitions. Scope & Change Management Manage scope and change using a formal change processEnsure all change is appropriately impact assessed against business casesMaintain an audit trail of change. Resourcing Understand the right resources required to deliver plan and ensure assignedDevelop a resource profile aligned with the plan. Risk & Issue Management Anticipate, identify, and mitigate against the things that could derail project deliveryManage risk horizons of short, medium, and long termIdentify, articulate, and quantify delivery risksDeploy a range of effective risk mitigation and management strategiesIdentify issues early and ensure effective and timely corrective action is taken Take ownership for resolving issues and escalations. Commercial Awareness Understand the commercial drivers and value of the project and client relationship to PSL, and optimise delivery to maximise commercial return. Skill and Competencies:Required Project management experience within technology deliveryFinancial services, financial sector, or financial product experienceA passion for continuous learning and improvement Excellent communicator with strong written, verbal and presentation skillsCurious to ensure solutions are fit for purposeExperience of risk control management Understanding of software development lifecyclesComfortable with multi-tasking and adapting to changing prioritiesAbility to effectively manage budgets and delegate tasksWorking knowledge of delivery methodology, tools, and techniquesAbility to travel, as required. RelationshipsDelivery Managers report to the Head of Delivery.
