We're seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a large-scale digital transformation programme in Luxembourg, playing a key role in modernising enterprise applications and driving technology innovation. 📅 Contract: November 2026 – June 2027 (extension potential) 📍 Location: Luxembourg (100% on-site) 🌍 Environment: International, multicultural, Agile delivery teams What You'll Be Doing This is a hands-on development role where you'll contribute to the modernisation of critical business applications while collaborating with talented professionals from across Europe. Key responsibilities include: ✅ Leading the migration of a legacy GWT (Google Web Toolkit) application to the latest version of Angular ✅ Analysing business requirements and working closely with analysts to refine functional specifications ✅ Producing technical designs and specifications aligned with established architecture and quality standards ✅ Developing, testing and maintaining enterprise-grade Java solutions ✅ Creating and executing unit, integration and automated test suites ✅ Supporting system deployments, configuration activities and production releases ✅ Providing application support, troubleshooting issues and delivering 3rd-line support ✅ Participating in Agile ceremonies, workshops and stakeholder meetings ✅ Producing clear technical and user documentation What We're Looking For ? Essential Experience ✔ 8+ years of commercial software development experience ✔ Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline ✔ Strong Java/J2EE development expertise (Java 7/8/11) ✔ Proven experience with enterprise application development ✔ Strong knowledge of: AngularGWTSpring BootSpring MVCSpring JMSJPACaching technologiesOracle databases (11g/18c)✔ Experience working across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) ✔ Understanding of software design patterns and UML ✔ Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills ✔ Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments Desirable Experience ⭐ Large-scale Web 2.0 application development using J2EE technologies ⭐ Knowledge of PMBOK and/or PRINCE2 methodologies ⭐ Experience supporting projects within European Institutions ⭐ Translation industry or multilingual technology project experience ⭐ French and/or additional European language skills Why Apply?
