Role: Senior Security EngineerEmployment Type: Full-TimeLocation: London, United KingdomWork Model: HybridCompensation: £90,000 – £125,000 per year + Bonus & Equity Options About the Role: We are recruiting a Senior Security Engineer on behalf of our client, a prominent global online delivery and food-tech platform in London. You will safeguard the enterprise’s digital ecosystem, securing cloud infrastructure, microservices, application code, and customer data against sophisticated cyber threats across global markets. Key Responsibilities: Architect, implement, and maintain security controls across multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP), container infrastructure (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing across web and mobile applications.Partner with software engineering squads to embed DevSecOps practices, static/dynamic code analysis (SAST/DAST), and dependency scanning.Manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), security monitoring, and automated threat detection and response tooling.Lead incident response workflows, digital forensics investigations, and security post-mortems for security incidents.Define enterprise security policies, identity and access management (IAM) governance, and zero-trust network architectures.Drive security awareness training and oversee bug bounty programs and external security audits. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of specialized cybersecurity, application security, or cloud security engineering experience in a modern tech environment.Deep practical knowledge of cloud security best practices (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes security, and container hardening.Proficiency in programming and scripting (Python, Go, or Bash) for security tooling automation.Strong familiarity with OWASP Top 10, common attack vectors, cryptographic protocols, and security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).Relevant professional security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, AWS Security Specialty, OSCP) are highly regarded.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
