Software Quality Analyst - Manual Testing

Hello All, Hope you are doing well Position: Software Quality Analyst – Manual Testing Location: Ann Arbar, MI (Hybrid) 4 days/week Duration: Long Term Summary: The Manual Tester - Software Quality is responsible for developing and executing quality assurance test suites and testing approaches throughout the application development and support lifecycle from design, delivery, operations and maintenance. This individual will collocate with the Development teams and Operations teams for ensuring overall code quality and ongoing maintenance and operations of a set of applications. Job Description Participate in developing and documenting user stories, including testing estimates and validation tests.Develop, document, and maintain the test strategy and test scenarios.Partner with the developers to ensure all areas of the application are fully tested and issues are clearly logged and prioritized consistently.Manage the defect log and ensure issues are resolved, including validation of the fix.Work with integration build teams to manage dev, QA and production release of software.Evaluate product requirements to create, modify, and execute test cases for functional testing (manual) and report results in a clear, concise manner to another member of the Agile team.Report and troubleshoot bugs directly with developers on the Agile team.Effectively communicate test plans, test reports, and test metrics to team.Perform manual testing in a wide variety of areas from mobile/web app, accessibility, and analytics to hardware firmware.Contribute to QA standards, guidelines and procedures as neededParticipate in analyzing Major Incidents and Emergency Change controls to identify opportunities to improve software quality test cases to reduce or eliminate thoseDesign and execute cross-system integration tests and regression tests for each releaseReview automated QA test suites which can be handed over to Reliability and NOC teams who can execute these at-will in Production environment for operational validation of systemsHelp manage appropriate test environments.Engage in various Agile ceremonies for the team, document and estimate QA strategy for each story/card QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance program with Agile practices1+ years of experience in Automated Software Quality Assurance practices including BDD/TDD2+ years of experience of Secure Development Lifecycle processesExperience with identity and access management including user registration, access provisioning, role-based access control and user de-provisioningExperience with QA for eCommerce, Point of Sale, and Software as a Service (SaaS) applicationsExperience with QA for Mobile websites and Native Mobile applications (iOS, Android, Windows)Experience with high-availability architectures in a large heavy-traffic environmentExperience testing web applications developed in JavaScript, CSS, XHTMLExperience testing of backend applications and APIs developed in Java/C# with SQL, NoSQL, ActiveMQ and caching technologies such as HazelcastExperience testing for Applications with user interface implemented in Visual BasicExperience SQA for apps with Web UI on multiple browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome) and operating systems (Linux, Windows, iOS)Nice to have hands-on experience with scripting languages such as shell scripts, Python etc.Must have good understanding of network topologies and technologiesMust have good understanding of data management practices including good experience with SQLExperience with full life cycle software deployment using Agile practicesNice to have knowledge of performance and load testing of web applicationsNice to have experience querying Splunk for application metrics for operational behaviorNice to have experience with Kubernetes and container-based application deployment and operationsCandidates might be required to perform real runs testing (which involves driving around with the apps) as and when required. “Vendors would be required to carry the additional insurance required for performing real run testing.
