Senior Salesforce DevOps Developer

## About the Role Cherokee Federal is seeking a Salesforce Developer/DevOps professional to design, develop, and implement complex Salesforce solutions supporting mission-critical public sector and DoD environments. The role focuses on technical design, scalable Apex and Lightning solutions, Salesforce DevOps, enterprise integrations, and the full software development lifecycle. The Senior Developer will help reduce technical debt through development best practices while ensuring secure, high-quality, and performant Salesforce implementations. This position is pending a contract award and represents a future anticipated need. ## Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), OmniStudio, and other code-based Salesforce technologies. * Support recent Experience Cloud design, development, and implementation projects. * Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and development teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. * Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment. * Use Salesforce Flow for complex requirements and bridge to custom code when necessary. * Develop efficient, scalable code following Salesforce development best practices and industry standards. * Develop Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages to meet business requirements. * Integrate Salesforce with other systems and platforms to support seamless data flow and interoperability. * Perform code reviews to maintain code quality, standards, and best practices. * Troubleshoot and debug Salesforce applications, defects, user issues, and performance problems. * Resolve data migration and interface issues. * Configure Salesforce to address application defects, user issues, and performance concerns. * Collaborate with developers, administrators, QA testers, and other cross-functional teams to support successful project delivery. * Support Salesforce DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, SFDX/CLI, branching and merge strategies, release management, and deployments across multiple environments. * Decompose user needs and requirements into technical user stories. * Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and industry trends and recommend improvements to development processes and applications. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. ## Required Qualifications * Minimum of 12 years of general work experience. * Minimum of 3 years of experience developing Lightning Web Components. * Experience with full-stack engineering, including database development and integration. * Minimum of 3 years of experience deploying Salesforce production enterprise applications. * Active Secret security clearance or higher. * U.S. Citizenship required. * Hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Apex programming, Salesforce configuration, Flow, and OmniStudio. * Experience developing Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages. * Experience with Salesforce DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines, Git, SFDX/CLI, branching and merging, release management, and multi-environment deployments. * Knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns and technologies, including REST and SOAP APIs. * Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. * Strong understanding of Salesforce platform and application development best practices and standards. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to pass Cherokee Federal pre-employment qualifications. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. ## Preferred Qualifications * Public sector experience. * Experience supporting multiple Salesforce project implementations. * Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or Salesforce Certified Administrator. * Experience providing technical guidance and mentorship to other team members. ## Compensation & Benefits * Estimated starting salary range: $110,000–$135,000. * Pay commensurate with experience. * Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), and other possible benefits as provided. * Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. ## Work Arrangement & Additional Information * Remote position in the United States. * Active Secret clearance or higher is required. * U.S. Citizenship is required. * Position is pending a contract award and is being recruited as a future anticipated need. * Cherokee Federal is a military-friendly employer, and veterans and active military transitioning to civilian status are encouraged to apply.
