About The Role About the role: We're offering an exciting opportunity to step into a role that plays a pivotal part in our operational success. We're looking for an experienced and motivated Programme Engineer Manager to join our Works Delivery Team. In this role you will manage the engineering, and where applicable project development, of all schemes for the Programme / Project so that they comply with the requirements of the Governance of Railway Investment Projects (GRIP), relevant standard and regulatory obligations and are ultimately capable of acceptance back onto the network. What You'll Do You'll lead and manage the engineering function within a major programme, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions that meet safety, cost, quality, and environmental objectives. Working closely with key stakeholders, you'll oversee engineering governance, budget management, validation and assurance activities, and the introduction of new systems and technologies to the network. Providing professional leadership and technical direction, you'll develop robust processes, drive continuous improvement, and build team capability to ensure engineering outputs are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and in line with programme requirements. Click here for more information Your Experience And Skills To succeed in this role, you'll need to have: Chartered Engineer with relevant successful experience of Programme Management within the Railway Industry or other complex industries/projects.University degree in relevant engineering discipline.Membership of an appropriate Professional Institution.Relevant experience of railway engineering systems and equipment, and implementation.Construction design management competenceSix Sigma Champion. You'll Also Need To Have Experience of large programmes/projects.Experience of leading railway engineering design & development works.
