DevOps Engineer Location: Netherlands Contract Type: Freelance / Contractor Duration: Initial 12-Month Contract Start Date: ASAP Working Model: Predominantly Remote Overview We are supporting one of the largest organisations in Europe on a major network transformation and automation programme. We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications DevOps Engineer to join a long-term initiative focused on network orchestration, automation, and cloud-native telecom environments. This is a design and development-focused role where you will be responsible for building, enhancing, and automating telecom network services and orchestration solutions within a large-scale carrier environment. Candidates with experience of Nokia Orchestration Center (NoRC) are highly preferred. However, engineers with strong experience across other telecom orchestration platforms and network automation environments will also be considered. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain telecom orchestration and automation solutionsBuild and enhance automated workflows for network service provisioning and lifecycle managementDevelop integrations between orchestration platforms, network functions, OSS/BSS systems and cloud environmentsCollaborate with architecture, engineering and operations teams to improve automation capabilities across the network estateCreate, test and deploy infrastructure and application automation solutionsSupport CI/CD implementation and DevOps best practices within telecom environmentsContribute to cloud-native networking initiatives including containerised and Kubernetes-based deploymentsDrive improvements in network reliability, scalability, efficiency and service delivery processes Required Skills & Experience Essential Experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, Network Automation Engineer, or Telecommunications DevOps EngineerStrong software development and automation experienceHands-on experience with:PythonAnsibleKubernetesDockerGitCI/CD pipelinesExperience working with orchestration or automation platformsStrong Linux administration skillsExperience designing and developing automation solutions rather than purely operational supportMust be currently located in the Netherlands Highly Desirable Nokia Orchestration Center (NoRC) experienceNokia NSP (Network Services Platform)Nokia NetActTelecom OSS/BSS integration experienceOpenShiftTerraformHelmREST API development and integrationCloud-native networking environments What We're Looking For We are particularly interested in engineers who can demonstrate: Strong design and development capabilitiesTelecom network automation expertiseOrchestration platform experienceCloud-native engineering skillsA proactive and consultative approachExperience operating within complex enterprise-scale environments
