Description

HR Project Partners is currently accepting résumés for Mechanical and Piping Field Engineers to support our client’s operations. The duration of the role is 12 months, with the possibility of extension. This position is located in Hamilton, ON. Prior experience in mining and steel manufacturing industry an asset. Essential Job Functions: The Field engineer will support the Engineering and Construction team in understanding and executing the engineering deliverables. They should be able to proactively identify site issues and accurately communicate any design changes to project engineers for review and action. Tasks include: Provide on-site technical supportSupport and manage project executionInspect structural steel installations for integrity and compliance with standardsTake various measurements at site to assist engineeringAssist the engineering designers with tie-insParticipate in construction reviewsDocument progress and compile reports as neededSuggest site modifications Education and Experience Requirements: Interprovincial Red Seal in Mechanical or Piping discipline; or Engineering Technology diploma5+ year’s experience on large industrial construction sites requiredPrior experience in mining and steel manufacturing industry an assetExperience reading and understanding blueprints, engineering drawings, P&ID’sExperience with P6 Planning software and MS ProjectsAbility to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods, walking on rough terrain) Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes: Adhere to safe-working practices at all timesHave effective problem-solving skillsProfessional demeanor and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently How to Apply: When submitting your application to HR Project Partners for this opportunity, please submit a PDF version and clearly state the job title for which you are applying.
