Join us as a (Senior) Forward Deployed Frontend Engineer NestAI is building out its Forward Deployed Engineering team in Estonia, and we are looking for a (Senior) Forward Deployed Frontend Engineer to lead the team in Estonia. This is a high-stakes engineering role where software meets hardware in the field: you will turn complex telemetry, mission data, and hardware controls from our autonomous systems (UAVs and UGVs) into fast, intuitive interfaces that real operators rely on. You will work directly with clients and our FDE team in Finland, embedded close to the point of deployment rather than removed from how the product actually gets used. What You Will Work On Take technical ownership of designing, building, and deploying responsive, high-performance web applications, operational dashboards, and telemetry visualizers using modern frontend technologies (TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML).Apply industrial and interaction design principles to streamline dense data displays, reducing cognitive load for operators handling heavy, high-consequence applications in fast-paced, safety-critical environments.Collaborate directly with field systems to integrate frontend control platforms and visualization layers with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs).Leverage state-of-the-art AI development tools to accelerate engineering delivery cycles and rapidly prototype partner-requested features without compromising core reliability or security.Work directly alongside partner technical teams to translate real-world operator workflows into scalable interface features, directly influencing NestAI’s core product roadmap. Here is what we are looking for: Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a track record building complex, high-data frontend web applications.Experience designing and building operational dashboards or command-and-control interfaces that manage dense, real-time telemetry.Solid grasp of industrial design principles and UI/UX patterns that simplify complex workflows and reduce cognitive friction in heavy, data-dense applications.Experience with, or strong interest in, hardware-adjacent domains such as unmanned aerial or ground vehicles (UAVs/UGVs) or similar human-machine interaction systems.Comfort working directly with clients and field operators to translate operational needs into interface requirements.Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences. Nice To Have Experience with GIS (Geographic Information Systems).Experience deploying or building production applications powered by LLMs, creating conversational, agentic, or intelligent decision-support interfaces.Combined experience in artificial intelligence and robotics, including hands-on experience interfacing software with UAV (drone) and UGV (ground robotics) hardware systems.
