Your career opportunity Payments Services IT builds and supports the technology that powers HSBC’s payments processing and customer journeys. As a Full Stack Engineer, you’ll help design, build and run cloud-native APIs and microservices, working closely with architects, analysts, delivery leads and quality assurance to deliver secure, reliable outcomes at pace. What You’ll Do Create and maintain API and microservice designs and documentationDeliver high-quality code that supports end-to-end customer journeysEmbrace new technologies and champion their adoption within the teamReview and sign off user stories and low-level designs in line with architecture principlesPerform code reviews, ensuring engineering standards are followed consistentlyPartner with the IT Project Manager to build and deliver to an agreed project planRemove delivery blockers and keep stakeholders informed on progress and risksWork with Scrum Leads and Test Quality Assurance to ensure pipeline needs and quality gates are met What you need to have to succeed in this role Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka and Istio Service MeshStrong capability with traditional engineering tools and platforms such as Bash or Shell, Groovy or Java, Unix or Linux, Jenkins and GitHubProven experience designing, building and maintaining distributed containerised platformsExperience delivering continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for automated deploymentsStrong documentation skills for technical designs, production support walkthroughs and release checklistsSolid understanding of engineering standards, code quality practices and peer review approachesAbility to collaborate effectively across roles including Technical Architects, Operations Business Analysts, Scrum Leads and Test Quality AssuranceClear communication skills to manage progress updates, escalate risks, and drive delivery to plan What we offer The pay range for this role is 17,484 PLN - 26,225 PLN (monthly, gross). Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
