Senior Backend Engineer, Ordering

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Backend Engineer, Ordering to join the team of a leader in the Transportation space. This role will focus on designing and delivering scalable backend services that support ordering capabilities within a complex, customer-facing platform. You will partner closely with Product and engineering teams to shape integrated solutions, improve reliability, and help evolve core systems that power business operations. The position also offers the opportunity to influence the direction of the company's next-generation ordering capabilities while supporting existing solutions. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually Responsibilities Lead the design and development of scalable and robust APIs. Collaborate with Product and engineering teams to create integrated solutions. Contribute to the vision for the next-generation ordering product and support existing solutions. Enforce best practices for testing and system reliability. Qualifications BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 4+ years of software development experience. Desire to learn new technologies for evolving platform needs. Proven ability to lead projects from conception to launch autonomously. Willingness to mentor junior engineers and support team growth. Curiosity about complex systems and the business domain. Strong team player eager to collaborate and participate in code reviews.
