Role Description The ArcGIS Developer role at PapaSiddhi Technologies is a contract, on-site position based in Delhi, NY.
The ArcGIS Developer will design, develop, and maintain GIS applications and services using ArcGIS and related technologies, including configuration of maps, layers, geoprocessing tools, and spatial data workflows.
Day-to-day work includes integrating ArcGIS solutions with existing enterprise systems, optimizing spatial databases, implementing APIs and web services, and troubleshooting performance or data issues.
The role involves collaborating closely with product owners, project managers, and other developers to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver reliable GIS solutions on schedule.
The ArcGIS Developer will also prepare technical documentation, support deployment activities, and provide guidance on GIS best practices and standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong ArcGIS development skills, including ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, and experience with geoprocessing, map services, and spatial analysis.Candidates should possess solid programming skills relevant to GIS, such as Python, .NET or JavaScript, and experience with ArcPy, REST APIs, and web mapping frameworks.Candidates should possess database and data management skills, including SQL, spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, SQL Server with spatial features), data modeling, and ETL for geospatial data.Candidates should possess skills in system integration and deployment, including working with APIs, web services, cloud or on-prem environments, and basic DevOps practices for application delivery.Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex spatial data, optimize application performance, and resolve technical issues efficiently.Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills to work
