Frontend Engineer

About the Role A large regional technology group is hiring a Frontend Engineer for its central finance technology team. The team builds the data platforms and web tools that finance teams across several major business lines use for reporting and analysis. You'll own the frontend of these tools, focusing on performance and user experience, with room to explore how emerging tech like LLMs could improve them. Key Responsibilities Build and own the frontend of internal web apps, from understanding requirements through design, build, testing and releaseImprove page speed, reliability and usability across existing toolsWork closely with product managers, designers and backend/data engineers to plan and ship new featuresKeep code quality high through testing, code reviews and maintainable designKeep up with developments in LLMs, embeddings and prompt engineering, and assess where they could add practical value to existing toolsSpot pain points in current tools and development workflows, then propose and lead improvementsWhat We're Looking For Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related fieldStrong React skills and solid fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSSProven work on web performance, with clear cases of diagnosing and fixing slow or unstable frontendsExperience with modern frontend tooling for automated testing, CI/CD and deploymentGood grasp of the full web stack and common network protocolsA good eye for UI/UXCuriosity about new technologies and comfort experimenting with early-stage toolsNice to have: experience building data-heavy internal tools or dashboardsNice to have: any hands-on experimentation with LLMs or AI toolingWhat's on Offer Visible impact on tools used by finance teams across multiple businessesScope to explore and pilot emerging technologies, including AI, within real productsA large, established tech organisation with strong engineering practicesCompetitive package and clear paths for technical growth ST Reg No. R1768414 BeathChapman Pte Ltd Licence no. 16S8112
