Senior Software Engineer 📍 Location: US (Fully Remote) 🕒 Type: Permanent An AI-enabled insurance technology business building modern solutions for MGAs and insurance programmes. The platform connects complex insurance workflows with technology to streamline the journey from submission through to pre-bind. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to own the backend integration layer of an AI-enabled MGA platform. Insurance industry experience is essential for this role. What You'll Be Doing Own third-party integrations end to end, from technical requirements through to production supportBuild robust backend services supporting the pre-bind insurance workflowDesign and maintain integration patterns and API connectionsOwn schema mapping between external data structures and internal modelsWork with complex insurance data models and workflowsHandle data transformation and integration challenges, including inconsistent or undocumented external systemsWork closely with the Squad Architect on integration and data architectureTake ownership across the full software development lifecycleSupport and troubleshoot production systemsContribute across the full stack where required to deliver complete solutions What They're Looking For Strong backend software engineering experienceProven ownership of complex third-party integrationsStrong data modelling and schema mapping skillsExperience integrating APIs and external systemsExperience taking software through the full development lifecycle into productionProfessional experience within the insurance industryUnderstanding of insurance workflows and data structuresStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex, imperfect dataComfortable working closely with architects and taking ownership of technical decisions Nice to Have MGA experienceProgram business experienceKnowledge of underwriting workflowsExperience with insurance submissions, quote workflows or policy lifecyclesExperience connecting to carrier or MGA systemsExperience within Guidewire, Duck Creek, Socotra or other insurance technology ecosystemsExperience with AI, agentic or LLM-based systems in productionFull-stack experience, with frontend skills supporting a primarily backend-focused role Why Join?
