Our challenge We are seeking a Senior React Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, responsive, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern front-end architecture, along with working experience in Java and Spring Boot for back-end services and API integration. The successful candidate will collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, and back-end developers to deliver reliable and user-friendly enterprise applications. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $95000-$110000/year & benefits (see below).. The Role Responsibilities: Front-End Development – 70–80% Design and develop responsive web applications using React.js.Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable UI components.Use JavaScript and/or TypeScript to implement application functionality.Manage application state using Redux, Context API, Zustand, or similar tools.Integrate RESTful APIs and handle asynchronous data flows.Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and accessibility.Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.Participate in code reviews and enforce front-end coding standards.Collaborate with designers to implement user-friendly interfaces.Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across environments.Java and Back-End Development – 20–30% Work with Java-based back-end services and REST APIs.Develop or enhance services using Java and Spring Boot.Understand existing Java application architecture and business logic.Support API development, integration, debugging, and maintenance.Collaborate with back-end engineers on API contracts and data models.Write and maintain unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.Investigate issues across the front-end and Java back-end layers. Requirements: 6+ years of software development experience.4+ years of hands-on experience with React.js.Strong knowledge of:JavaScript and/or TypeScriptReact hooks and functional componentsState managementReact RouterHTML5 and CSS3Responsive web designREST API integration2+ years of experience working with Java, preferably Java 8 or later.Working knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and RESTful services.Experience with Git and collaborative code-review workflows.Experience writing automated tests using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, JUnit, or Mockito.Strong understanding of front-end performance, security, and accessibility.Good knowledge of Agile/Scrum development practices.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
