Cloud Security Consultant

Cloud Security Consultant – UK/Remote - £70,000-£90,000 We're looking for an experienced Microsoft Security Architect to join our clients growing cybersecurity team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft's security technologies to help protect modern cloud-first environments. You'll play a key role in strengthening our clients' security posture by deploying and optimising the full Microsoft Security stack and driving security best practices across multiple technology streams. In this position, we really need someone strong around Purview and Data Security as a whole, whilst also having other skills in the MS Security stack Working remotely from anywhere in the UK, you'll collaborate with technical consultants, infrastructure teams, and customers to deliver secure, resilient, and well-governed Microsoft Security solutions. Role Lead the architecture and design of Microsoft Security solutions covering data governance, information protection, compliance and information lifecycle managementDesign and architect Microsoft security solutions incorporating Purview, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra IDDesign solutions around Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP), sensitivity labels, retention, records management, data classification and insider riskWork with customers to understand their data landscape, regulatory obligations, security requirements and information governance challengesLead customer workshops and technical discovery sessions to establish requirements and develop appropriate Microsoft security and compliance strategiesCreate high-level and detailed solution designs, architecture diagrams, data-flow diagrams and technical documentationProvide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, working closely with delivery teams to ensure solutions are implemented in line with the agreed architectureSupport pre-sales activities including technical proposals, customer presentations, demonstrations and proof-of-conceptsConduct security, compliance and information governance assessments and provide recommendations for improvement What We’re Looking For Experience Design and implementing Microsoft Security based technology solutions – Purview is essntialExperience working with Microsoft security, compliance and/or information governance technologiesStrong hands-on and architectural experience with Microsoft Purview and other Security technologiesExperience designing and implementing Purview capabilities including data classification, sensitivity labels, retention policies, DLP, records management, information governance and compliance solutionsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft SentinelA strong understanding of information security, data protection and regulatory requirementsKnowledge of frameworks and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST and GDPR Certifications Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100)Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200)Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator Associate (SC-401)Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) If you're passionate about Microsoft security and want to work with the latest technologies across Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID, and the wider Microsoft Security portfolio, we'd love to hear from you.
