The Role
We're looking for a Head of Software Engineering to own the entire platform engineering function.
You'll lead a distributed org of 50+ engineers across several European locations, reporting directly to the CTPO.
This isn't a hands-on IC role or a single-team tech lead position.
It's a whole-org ownership role for someone who has personally led large, distributed engineering organizations as a manager-of-managers and driven engineering strategy, standards, and modernization at scale.
What You'll Do
Lead and grow the software engineering organization (~50+ engineers, scaling) across multiple European sites Set engineering strategy, technical standards, and modernization roadmap for the entire platform Drive post-acquisition integration: technical due diligence, onboarding, and integration of acquired engineering teams Lead platform harmonization and modernization of legacy applications across a multi-brand group Partner with product, commercial, and enterprise stakeholders to deliver on business objectives Build a high-trust, high-velocity engineering culture across geographies
What We're Looking For
Required
Current or recent Head / Director of Software Engineering, VP Engineering, or equivalent at an enterprise B2B SaaS company Proven leadership of distributed engineering teams across geographies - manager-of-managers scope, ~40-120+ engineers Broad modern-stack understanding across backend, frontend, and mobile Strong enterprise-stakeholder communication skills Fluent English (C1+) Based in or near Krakow, Poland, or clearly relocatable
